Hi all,
I've decided to sell my 1972 914. It's been a hard decision but I just don't drive it anymore. About 3 years ago we rebuilt the 1.7 engine and I haven't driven it a 1000 miles since then and I'm looking clear some space. to give you a little background on this car my Dad bought it for me on a trip to Tucson AZ back in 1992 when I turned 16, I'm 38 now. we brought it back to Illinois and he checked on insurance for a 16 yr old boy. After he found out how much it was going to cost he parked the car inside for 10 years until I moved out and got a garage of my own. I restored it, we repainted the outside only. When you look at the pics all of the inside shots of the sheetmetal are original. This is a rust free car. When we rebuilt the engine a few years back we also replaced the "hell hole". This car has never been wrecked. I have all service records from the previous owner. I even has the original window sticker. It is on it's 3 engine now and I this will one will run for a long time. it probably has 300,000 miles on the car but it runs excellent. the only thing it needs is a refreshed transmission. it works but leaks transmission fluid and 1st is a little hard to get into but nothing to serious. I also have ALOT of extra parts, including a full set of Fuch wheels and a new interior carpet kit that needs installed. all the extra parts will go with the car. I probably have over a 1000 in extra parts alone. I'm not going to lie, the existing carpet is nice but it is really indoor/outdoor carpet that we have put in. The gas tank has been redone, cleaned and sealed. I rebuilt the brakes and it stops real good. I'm asking $15,000 obo for this beauty. Serious offers only. This car is like another child for me and I have always taken care of it. Of course we have snow and rain here in the Midwest but it has never seen it. This a garage only car and it has been since it's been in the Midwest. If you would like more pictures of anything let me know. I have nothing to hide on this car. Thanks for looking. btw I have lot of pics but some files are too large to post. I will post all I can. let me know if you want pics of anything in particular. |
