The Toronado Turbo 425 transaxle puts the drive axle almost thru the center of the oil pan, so if the 914 axles are at an angle forward at the differential you still have alot of weight in a bad spot. Trailing throttle oversteer anyone? Plus 425 is a variation on the TH400 automatic trans with a transfer case type drive off the back, then it has a shaft going forward to the diff then out to axle flanges where the axles bolt on. It's a very heavy setup turning your 914 into a pendulum that makes a 911 look inherently balanced. It's an interesting conversion but not one I'd want. If you're going an engine/transaxle combo that works and is lighter, go transverse with a Honda FWD setup. Same work, weight is more forward with alot of aluminum and more currently serviceable. Call it a Pornda if you'd like... better combination than a Poronado! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)
