I am restoring my 1975 914 2.0l, with stock FI, center console. It will be black with 2.0l fuchs. I am restoring it to ''as it rolled out''.
I want to get a sense of what the car will be worth( I know the market will go up and down). thx |

The car will never be worth what you put into it. I've told several if your resto is based on the cars final value, go find a solid, complete 550 in a barn and you'll be o.k.
If the car Jeff is referring to is the one I am thinking of it was ORIGINAL and very low mileage. For a PERFECTLY restored car you could probably drop that by 7500.00-10K. But then again how PERFECT are you planning on ? Buying a frame bench and fixtures to ensure it is in perfect spec? Buying a 23,000.00 spot welder to duplicate the factory welds ? Getting the right amount of orange peel ? Tracking down N.O.S. parts ? Not trying to be an asshat, just pointing out that one mans perfect is another mans nice driver |
