Well it has been a wierd wild ride so far with my project. I left my car in TJ for the flares on a Sunday. By the time I got home I had a call asking me to come back down the following Monday to make sure the vision their welder had and the vision that I had were the same......they were not. The welder cut my rear fender about two inches around the wheel well and put a straight four inch piece of metal coming out perpendicular with the 2' piece attached on to that. It looked like a shelf around my wheel....really F-ing ugly. I didnt freak, though. I just remembered that I know where to get a free set of good fenders to fix this mistake. I brought them a picture of my wants and then explained how to do it. They asked me to come back the next day to inspect. I was nervous, but when I returned I found what I wanted. It cost me $990 ($90 was tax) for the flares, and for them to weld in my engine mount for the six. It prolly would have been cheaper if some dirty tail dragger with cash haddent given them the idea that we "all" have money (James)(IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) The price was still good though. The only thing that needs to be attended to now is evening up the contours. I will be buying a contour gauge to show them how to allign everything> this will not cost anything extra...just time.
