I seem to be missing a wire of some sort or a connection. With the wheel mounted I can't make any connection. Here is what is under the wheel in my 71. Am I missing something or am I just not making a good connection between the ring and the electrical pick up?

The top of the horn plunger runs against the flat metal bracket instead of using a wire to make the connection to the tab on the plate.

The top of the horn plunger runs against the flat metal bracket instead of using a wire to make the connection to the tab on the plate. It does not touch the bracket. It pokes into the center, where there is a hole. Is that plate supposed to be grounded in some way so that when the plunger contacts it the circuit is completed? The parts diagram on Pelican is too small/lacks the detail to help me out. |
