Who would you recommend to ship a long block from Portland to Kansas City? I've looked at websites like freightcenter.com, but I'm not sure on weight and dimensions.

I just shipped an engine in and another one out. Both times I used YRC Freight through Freightquote terminal to terminal. Worked great and rates are good too. Put the engine on a pallet, strap it down with cheap straps, and enclose it with cheap plywood. You'll get a better rate due to freight class. Weight is not a strong driving factor for the price.
