It seems to have faded into memory but not for me. Just wanted to say thx to all of our Vet's; present and deceased. God bless. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I recall, while at school the home teacher came into the classroom in tears, the makeup streaking her beautiful face.
As a gorgeous modern woman in her mid twenties, she could had been a stewardess. That was the first time I had seen her so visibly distraught,
sobbing and sniffing into a handkerchief."Students, there will be no more instruction today. The President of the United States has been killed."
Then she sat at her desk and brushed the tears from her eyes,as we filed out into the hall.
The signifigance of her news was not lost on me.
My perception of President Kennedy was of a Navy Officer who swam alone into the Pacific to signal a corvette or destroyer that might notice.
He set the example by leading at the front in the hope that a rescue could be made for his men.
I knew this because the story had been told to me and I had used our times "internet",an encyclopedia.
While reading of his heroism,I had thought"At night,in tropical waters?".
As a kid,the idea was a daunting concept, and it saddened me to hear of his death.
We had heard only that he had been shot.I thought "same as Abraham Lincoln?".
It's why I take a moment of silence and thank them.
