I suppose I am very late to this game - but I wasn't aware of the lifter quality problems until just very recently (and have now gone back and read through the archives). My engine is/was 100% ready to install and break in this weekend, but can't risk the new engine to questionable lifters.

I have the #73 webcam with matching lifters (yes, the 2 piece versions).

So now I'm on the waiting list for a set of ceramics from Charles Navarro. Down side is it will be at least a month before getting them. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Crap like this makes me want to buy a Miata.

So much for this autox season........

P.S. On the bright side, I'm thankful that people like Charles are even around to supply us with quality parts. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap56.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap56.gif)

Peter

Just got an e-mail from Charles (and you). He said that I could have your set when they arrive (expected in a week or two).

Wahoo!! Thank you so much Peter! I feel much better now!
