Reason(s) for asking?
  1. I want to get another 914 after not having one for almost 7 years.
  2. The price of these cars has skyrocketed, I don't have $5000 cash for a decent runner.
  3. A co-worker will sell me his and let me make monthly payments.
  4. I have zero room in my garage and I need to get my other project car done 1st that is sitting in the driveway.
  5. If I don't act fairly soon co-worker will list the car on Craigslist and this one will get away and who knows when I'll find another killer deal.

Maybe put an add on Craigslist that you're looking for a garage to rent for a few months. You never know but you may end up with an easy solution.

I would not store it with some one you do know and trust. I have heard of stories where the car is gone or damaged. There are lots of commercial storage places. In Socal they usually offer the first month free. They run about $100 a month in this area. There are also places that store boats and RV's outside.
