Hi members
I just made a contact to possibly make a run of ( Carbon fiber targa tops) yes the REAL THING not a wrap. A 914 top is being source to make the tooling. I understand I have no prices yet...but as soon as a donor top is found. I will be able to get an estimate based on the number of members interested. I will post pictures of a 911 targa top to give you an idea of the finished product. Who might be interested? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) Attached image(s) |

Brilliant stuff! And, on the 911 it does NOT look out of place! Shame that there are two different versions of the top - making the tooling more expensive.
I'm thinking about next step: what about a dash top? A lot of these from the Dry States are in a bad shape. A CF dash top would be a nice alternative. What's more: a lot of cars from the dry areas in the US are re-imported into Europe - all with the same 'problem' a cracked dash top. When you're able to produce these, you can extend the market to Europe as well! (H*ll, when I can order new bumpers and overriders for my Triumph in Vietnam, I receive these 3 days later in a large box. So, large boxes are no problem for UPS /FedeX). Menno |
