Working on an Idea. My car has the side reflectors deleted and night driving with out them concerns me.
So what I'm working on is a simple solution. I bought Yellow and Red Reflectors that are small, one inch by 3 inches rectangular, with out lights, just a reflector that should glow when hit with the light of another car. Could be any size or shape, round ones the size of the stock ones would be good. The reflectors I got use double sided stick on pads to hold them on what ever you want to stick them on. What I want to be able to do is make them removable so that at night I can attach them temporarily, and remove them when not needed. The way I came up with to do this was to cut to size refrigerator plastic magnetics that you get from time to time when you subscribe to a Magazine like Hemmings. The problem I'm having is the magnet's strength with these isn't strong enough. So, I'm looking for a stronger Magnet that's light weight, flat, about a eight inch thick and can be cut into a strip one inch by 3 inches. It has to be strong enough so the reflector wont slip or blow off at highway speed, or from vibrations, and wont damage the paint. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) |

Ah,the way of the future. Led printed flexible vinyl wraps, good for ads, sponsors, oem visibility, and just plain decorative accents. Illuminated license plate appliques and whatever you can dream up.Might be something to sell. This idea is however, not for small scale production as the printing techniques required is an expensive process. |
