For sale is a factory 914-6 engine, model # 901/38 , Ser. # 6405500.
I do not have any history on this engine so it's being sold as is.
The engine turns over pretty smooth w/o any binding.
At some point the engine was taken apart and the piston/cylinders where swapped out. The factory 6's came with 2.0 T pistons and steel cylinders. The cylinders currently on the engine are aluminum. I used a camera with a scope on it to check the pistons and it appears that they could be 2.0 S. How do I know this you may ask, Well I have a set of 2.0 E pistons (see pics for reference only) and they look nothing like the ones in the engine. The pistons in the engine have a higher dome with larger depth valve pockets ( see pics ). I checked the cam #'s and the only one that I could barely see is 901 105 109 which is a Solex cam #. The head intake/exhaust ports are 32 mm. The engine is missing 5 rocker arms/shafts on the right side. I will check to see if I can locate them.
I have a (early 911) black engine cooling shroud and front pulley that comes with the engine. If someone needs more info please ask or pm me.

The buyer is to arrange and pay for the shipping costs. I will put the engine on a pallet and strap it down prior to shipping.
