Lots of good stories and memories in this 914-6. Bought it off a guy locally (Jeff H. referral) who wanted to do a 911 project instead of the 914-6. He’d already put the 2.0 six engine in. When I had it, I cleaned it up, put HE’s on it, polished 16x6’s, tossed black paint on it (wasn’t that good) and drove it. It’s been in the local PNWR-PCA Spiel Magazine under my ownership more than once (2001?) Sold it to CAMP and Craig took the car to the proper level in paint and interior. Sold after years of ownership to the Oregon guy (Can’t remember his name). He got stranded via broken cable of some type while in Anacortes. Clutch or throttle, can’t remember. I pulled the one off my steel-top blue 914-6, ran up and installed it for him as a favor to Craig. That was the last time I saw the 914-6. Now it’s a different beast. I have lots of old pictures from 14-15 years ago. I should dig them out. Still have the Spiels with the articles on the car and club drives I sponsored way back when somewhere as well.
