1974 Porsche 914-6 at Canepa Options

I took Buddy to Canepa for his birthday a couple years back. Canepa is an ex-dirt track racer who has seemed to build up a nice niche with top tier clients. His collection is nice mix of Porsche, domestic, racer, rare and motorcycle interests. Emphasis race and Porsche.

They took us through the whole building and showed us some very special projects being constructed in the back. We saw a real 356 GT convertible, bus with a /6, the last Shelby made (signed), a new McLaren (which they let Buddy carefully sit in), a custom 911 style /4 motor, their huge diesel, and so much more. They were the shop that helped make 959s US legal.

Very cool guys to me. Seems to love the mark and would have the clients at the price point noted. There are just some people in this world where 30-40K more for what they want is not much of a problem.

As for the car, it's definitely one you either love or hate. I dig it, but more as a show piece.

I often wonder what a Kindigit would do with a 914.

FWIW I've been very impressed through the years with World site members who have been more than ambitious like this one. I appreciate the craftsmanship and the build, even if the end result doesn't cut it for Monterey. Then again, I just like to drive them.
