My heater blower in the engine compartment had a bad bearing I was able to switch it out with a spare motor it was a real pia. My question is how often should you take the electric motor apart and clean and oil the bearings?

I wouldn't remove it unless there was an issue. If you are installing one, I would bench test it first.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Had this happen to 2 Audi's, a 1995 and 1997; heater fan squeaked at low speed. Removed the fan and motor, oiled and replaced. Big PITA on those cars.
