Some pictures of my EFI setup. Mine uses electromotive for the ECU but most of the
stuff is the same as you would use for megasquirt. I think the electromotive uses a different number of teeth on its trigger wheel. Here is what the CB Performance throttle bodies look like with their fuel rails, injectors, and the metal tab that holds the fuel rails to the throttle body. The tube coming out from the between the manifolds is an air line that goes to the manifold pressure sensor in the rear trunk. The throttle bodies are drilled and tapped for this air line and the lines from both throttle bodies join together before going to the manifold pressure sensor. These long air lines help smooth the air pressure pulses at low RPM but they still fluctuate a lot below something like 2500 RPM. Below 2500 RPM (or so) the electromotive relies on the throttle position sensor mounted to the back of one throttle body for its load input. It can blend between the two to smooth things out at low RPM. Not sure what megasquirt does here but I bet it is something similar. ![]() Here is a close up of the metal tab holding the fuel rail to the throttle body. I had a hard time getting pictures of this stuff with the engine installed. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ![]() Another shot of the tab. ![]() A shot of the master side of the tangerine throttle pulley system. Edit: I had this backwards I realized: At the top of the wheel is the throttle cable attached to the gas pedal. At the bottom is the cable to the slave wheel on the other throttle body. ![]() Hope this helps. John |
