Was doing some cleaning underneath the car. While cleaning the rear suspension a small chunk of bushing fell out in my rag. I think you can see the damaged bushing in the pic. Is this an easy replacement? Would prefer to do it myself. Are these available oem or possibly 914 Rubber? Assume its not a problem to drive until I get to it.

Yeah, try it yourself. Its a bit of a chore to get them on the sway bar on one end and the shock post on the other but its definately do-able. And you'll be really pleased with the nice new, white bushings instead of the old hard, yellow ones. You can guess that the other three old ones are about to chip apart too.
I think I used silicon spray and also soapy water as lube to get them on. I think I used a good whack with a rubber hammer to get them on the shock post and a C-clamp to get them on the sway bar...but its been a long time. Anybody else? |
