So I'm getting ready to put my engine and gearbox back in after two years. I remember getting it out was a little tricky due to the driveshafts. Do they need to go back in before the engine?
Question two: Is there any place on the engine bay relay board that's suitable to pull an extra switched +12v out to my new ecu? |

On the relay board in the lower left hand corner is a socket with 4 spade type connectors. The one labeled I on the diagram is switched 12v. I use that to switch the main powerthrough an additional relay for my Megasquirt ecu and ancillary electrical equipment. Here is a diagram from Pelican Parts:
