any body know the best brakes for four lugs that work well in our teeners and are in a decent price range? I figure I can get some used bmw calipers at a used parts yard If I knew the model and years instead of throwing down 400 bones for two bmw calipers at AA? any good knowledge out there on brakes?

I am very happy with the results of the BMW calipers. Our '70 has a 17mm to 19mm upgrade on the master and with the stock front calipers, the increase in pedal pressure needed to lock up the front wheels went way up. Adding the bigger piston BMW units brought back the balance and the brakes work great. I also bought these calipers as remans from a parts house fairly cheap. There wasn't anything wrong with the old calipers, they just were not a good match for the bigger master cylinder. For an inexpensive brake upgrade, I would definitely do it again.
