I am using a QSC 228mm in my /6, but I haven't tested it yet. It was a custom install, I had to make a ring I can't remember the installed height.

KEP has a modified 215mm PP for the 914, I'd go that route first.
I'm using a new sachs stock PP and 911 disc with 180hp with no issues so far, 3 summers.
This is in my '67 bug which is almost 400lbs lighter, 911-901 with stock 914 fly.
