I'm currently running 15x7 cookie cutters with Kumho Ecsta V700 205/50's.
For my 2nd set of track wheels, I'd like to run Hoosiers and would prefer to go 16x7's instead of 15's. (This is a stock bodied car). What are the odds I could squeeze some 215/40 Hoosiers under the car, on 16x7's? I am more worried about the fronts than the rears, as the rear fenders were significantly rolled and pulled and have a bunch of extra room with the current rubber. The Hoosiers do not seem to be available in a 205/55R16 or 205/50 size, so my only other option looks like sticking with 205/50R15's (?) I was hoping to have a "short" set and a "taller" set for different tracks. Obviously the 215/40R16's will still be a short tire with a big gearing impact. |
