Hi there,

I know there are tons of users out of FG flares and I wanted to get some opinions before I pulled the trigger for a set of flares.

I know some have used Rennspeed, AA, Patrick, so I just wanted to get a sense of who was happy with the product.

The method Mike (and others) have utilized (attached without trying to blend in with body filler), is probably best. I've seen a lot of filled-in glass ones crack at the attachment seams (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I still can't find it in me to cut up the fenders on either one of our 914s (yet), but I have a nice thick set sitting up in the rafters. The VW fender beading really finishes them off very nicely (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif)

But you have to cut?,I have nice set of new 16x8 to go on the rear but the cost to flare the stock body is an issue so would consider doing it,my car is a 2.0 74 >914/6 copy so not really going to worry me.
I do think the bolt on ones look nice but who makes them???? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

I believe they have moulded in recess's for the bolts and I presume nut- serts into the body, anyway food for thought.
