Easy to know the total volumes manufactured, by model, year and market.
Have we yet had a thread where we have tried to estimate total number of cars surviving? Anyone fancy having a stab at helping me fill in the red question marks below? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i13.photobucket.com-19057-1441199857.1.jpg) |

What we do know is:
1. Approximately 83,000 914s came to the USA, the rest were ROW market cars. 2. Approximately 25% of the 1974 LE cars survive per the LE Registry. 3. If that is any indication of a pattern, 25% of 83,000 914s survive in the USA or ~ 21,000. as a ROM. And that 21,000 would include any 914 chassis operational or not, as long as it has not been destroyed. |
