Okay 914 GearHeads, give me input.
Are rear hubs from a '67 911 the correct choice for a true 5-lug conversion? Brakes... Are 3" offset "M" calipers a good choice for an budget upgrade? Are these from a mid 70's/ early 80's 911? What else is needed to convert a '72 914-4? Thanks in advance, George. |

QUOTE(soloracer @ Sep 16 2004, 11:43 AM) Does this make sense? Or am I all buggered up? Not all of that is correct. The 911 CV should connect to the 915 output flange. However, the 914/6 stub axle is the same CV size as is the 914/4. So use the 911 stub axle instead. They are cheaper and more readily available. The 911 axle is not the correct length. You basically should get a custom axle to get the correct 914 length AND mate to the 911 CV's. |
