At what point in time did the '74 914 change from silver dot dash gauges to non- silver dot gauges? Who has the highest VIN # with the silver dot?

I wouldn't be surprised to find that there were sequences of cars with silver dots, then ones with no dots, then ones with dots, then... In part because the cars were not necessarily built strictly in VIN order. I also would not be completely astonished to see at least a few cars with both types of gauge, because of the way they seemed to just use whichever parts were on hand.
