I have a 1.7 with empi carbs. I think they're 34cc. I have an opportunity to buy a 2.0 from a VW bus. Will my carbs bolt on the 2.0? Are the 34cc too small and not deliver enough fuel for the 2.0?
I'm a newbie so not up to speed with all abbreviations and slang Thanks He also wants $500 for the 2.0 so is that reasonable? It spins freely but it is a long block only |

It's mm, not cc.
Real old webers came in 36mm size, but they are likely 40mm. VW bus 2.0 and 1.7 914 are both ballpark 80hp, I don't know the exact numbers offhand. A bus engine will work, but it's lower compression and considered a downgrade for a 914. |
