I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to add this.
VWoA moved the manufacturing of stuff to Fort Worth, Texas in 79. That's when my father started working for them, and moved us back to Texas. They made a lot of the VPC AC units for the 914, plus the Rabbit, Audi 4000 and 5000 AC units, and Vanagon AC units. I have the original prototype of the Rabbit AC unit. |
