My 914 buddy said I should solicit advice from JP Stein and Brad Roberts at least. I bought two of these great little cars, one for the wife and one for me. Mine needs to be BAD.....Looking for about 150 HP, rides like a rock, corners like a F1 car, etc. I don't want the equipment to be the limiting factor. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) Budget is shy of spending ALL the retirement fund. OK guys, let's see what is out there.

It is hard to beat that corvette with a little 2.0 914.

No its not...you would be very surprised. My 1.7L car often gets faster times than several of the 993's and 930 turbos at the autocross events around here. I doubt that a Corvette would do much better either.
