Was the ignition switch wired such that the warning buzzer would sound if the key was left in the ignition switch. The 911 ignition switches do for sure, how about a 914 ?

I had a change to do some testing on a switch that is out of the car. There are 3 large spade tetminals: 30, 50, 15, X; and there are two small spade connectors: P and S
P has continuity with 30 a disused for the parking light function when the TS lever is left on and ignition is off. S would have continuity with 30 whenever the tip of the key is inserted, continuity was observed in all key positions including off; pull the key ou and it breaks continuity.. I'm still trying to figure out how this circuit might trigger key-in-ignition warning buzzer Any ideas ? I thinking relay, but not sure how..... |
