I currently have two old chests, one without ball bearings on the drawers, and it is getting harder and harder to use everyday.

I saw this at Home Depot and seems like a good deal...?

Interesting, thanks for all the feedback.

Comparing HF 44" and HD Husky 46":

The HF chest is 2" shorter, but is rated to carry 1,600 pounds more (2,600 vs 1,000) and weighs 100 pounds more (270 vs 170). Strange world we live in when HF might be higher quality! (but it is also $100 more)

Take account of your tools to see how you might use the HD stack. Seems to me it has too many skinny drawers. It'll be hard to find anything to put there and your bigger tools will get stranded. As for the chests, the top surface is too small to be of much use and you don't want to be bending over to get commonly used tools. A stack with some deeper drawers up high will put common tools in easy view w/o bending.

If you need a bench, I like the Sears ones. I got a 8 ft with butcher block top. You assemble. All the parts and screw holes lined up perfectly. Liked it so much I got another. Compared with a HF parts cleaner that I could barely get together due to poor design and misalignment. In addition to which it didn't work the first time I plugged it in.
