Thought I would start a new thread for all to view and learn from.
Got the muffer and muffler bracket off for a better view. Check out the arrow below the hole?? more failure in case? Went ahead and drained the oil. Hope I don't find too much metal. Tomarrow I will start unbuckling everything so i can drop the tranny lower. Then we'll peer into the abyss..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) later Attached image(s) |

The washer is part of reverse and moves when you have the end cover off. You have to "hold" it in place with a good slathering of grease, along with greasing the reverse shaft with grease to hold all of that in place.
Yes, the item the rev/1st slider rides on is held in place with the large bolt. Hmmmm. I might have one laying around here...Too bad I didn't know 3 weeks ago, cause I dumped multiple cases and tailshift covers. |
