This is OT for 914s, but there are a lot of smart SBC guys here, and I know very little about them, so hoping you guys can shed some light on this for me.
Who knows about Vortec heads and intakes? I have two SBC 350 motors from the 80,s They are named Crusader 270 and they are marine motors for my boat. I want to change the heads to Vortec heads and intake for carbs. So, I am looking for early heads, cast iron. Not looking for high horsepower new aluminum heads, it's a boat. Boats are about torque, not horsepower. So, specifically I am looking for which truck to get them from at the junkyard. I will stick with carbs, just easier this time around to stay away from fuel injection. Any helpful advise will be welcome. Rich |
