I have a 1975 2.0 we have done extensive work on for an Australian owner who passed away. A very solid car, minimal rust, runs great, stock fuel injection, recent transaxle repair and reseal, 4 straight Mahle's, 19mm ATE master cylinder, new brake hoses and pads, nice dash and interior, no crashes. Needs oil cooler added, summer oil temp 240 degrees, windshield resealed, paint, clearcoat peeling off.
This is a good car that most of the 40 year old maladies have been fixed. The ad pretty well covers the problems. The oil temp needs to be addressed by summer. For some unknown reason, many 1975 and 1976 914's have high oil temp. The windshield reseal was deferred until paint. It can look better but it probably needs a repaint depending on your expectations. No crashes, good suspension, shocks, brakes, lights, park brake, horn, excellent transaxle and clutch, glass, interior, straight Mahle's, good (but older) tires, major maintenance service, (plugs, points, valve adjust, change all fluids, body lube oil and filters) recent Interstate battery, all new fuel hoses and no oil leaks all add up to a way above average 914. I have been repairing 914's for 43 years, most of the $10,000 plus cars you'll find will need at least $3000. in maintenance and repairs immediately after purchase. No hidden problems on this car. $8400 Attached image(s) |

I would love to have this car. I would drive my current 914 to IL which I have much more than the asking price in and trade if Brad recommended it. I have been wrong before but I am pretty sure Brad is not a concern to beware of.
