Looking for an aftermarket shift knob with same pattern but allen wrench mount instead of the crush bushing. I have a rebuilt shifter getting installed and wanting to use a more solid shift knob. Also, what is the diameter of the OEM shift knob? I had a old 911 threaded shift knob but no way it will go over the 914 shift post, the 911 knob diameter is way too small.

Thanks all.

I've had great luck with crush washer-mounted knobs. For me this is what I'm running in case you haven't closed the door on crush washers...

From Vacca Rabite, nice feel, excellent craftsmanship, very nice feel in the 914.

From a machinist friend who custom turns out of stainless or aluminum, this is stainless, nice heavy feel and comfortable for the 911 shifter position.
