I have a 76 that was in pieces when i bought it. It is a carb car and I have a new low pressure pump to install. What I don't know is what the openings are for that have grommet installed in the cover. The wiring goes in from underneath the fuel tank.

Are you talking about two small holes in the pump mount blister? They are for the screws that mount the pump to the cover.
