Finally got my car back together after refinishing the dash, and also put in my Rennshifter. Went for a quick scoot to make sure everything was in order, and on a shift into 3rd (but not the first shift to 3rd), I THINK it shifted too far, and is now on the far side of the cog (if that's even possible) but this amounts to being stuck without a gear, but also being unable to even move the shifter. Disconnected from the back end at the transmission (tail shifter) and it's definitely there that it's jammed up...the linkage and shifter itself appear fine.
I'm thinking I might get it up on jackstands, and try to rotate the transmission while trying to sync it backwards? through 3rd, and see if that recovers things. Any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I was anxious to be back on the road this weekend for a cars and coffee event, but I'm thinking that's now scuttled.
