My goes goes well when it is cold, but when the engine gets hot... it wants to die, won't hold idle and doesn't want to accelerate.

By luck, looking at my engine bay at night I have notice arcing wires. Here are my questions.

- Are those problem linked ?
- Which wire would you recommend ?

My car is a 1974, carb 2.0L

Thanks

Vincent

i agree, start with new wires. if the problem persists, could be coil. when coils start to fail, they breakdown when they get hot. look for leaks in coil when it is hot. if you see oil oozing, the coil is shot.
