914world, please save me again from my mediocrity.

2316cc T4. I used to have an Empi distributor with Bosch blue coil. I upgraded to pertronix 45kv 0.3 ohm coil and pertronix distributor. Great spark now, easier starts, but my alt. light stays on. Previously, i would have to get rpm over 2500 to make light go off, now no spike in rpm will make the light go off.

I have led bulbs in dash, and i am willing to do the 100 ohm resistor mod to the alt light if that is necessary.

Suggest you read this and follow the appropriate tests. Alternator light is an active part of the system, not just an indicator.

The bulb is a 1.2W bulb, so a 120 ohm / 2 W resistor across an LED light would provide the same zero ampere speed (~500 engine rpm) as the stock incandescent and similar operation. Note you can't use a crappy 1/4 W or 1/2 W carbon film resistor, you'd have to use a 2 W power resistor. IMO, you'd be better off just replacing it with the stock incandescent.
