Oh yeah, those points look pitted.
Clean up the 'dizzy' shaft and install a new set of points, or a Pertronix unit as Timothy recommended. If going with points, smear a small amount of cam lube on the lobes, making sure not let any lube get on the contact points. Set the gap to .016" and install the new condenser. Do you have a dwell meter? ... and a timing light? |
