Regarding the oil return line (from the engine scavenge line). The line/hose screws onto a fitting. Does the fitting for this line screw into female threads on the oil tank??
I can see the 32mm hex head on this fitting, but I do not want to put a wrench on it and find that it is welded in and damage the tank. The tank is still in the car. I had it out last year for a paint/refurbish but do not remember exactly the arrangement at that fitting. I would prefer not to have to remove the tank. Thanks |

The large hex you see is a nut, which is one of three fasteners that secures the tank to the car. That same threaded boss is the where the short flex line that goes through the left engine shelf attaches. Do a search on 914-6 oil tank diagram, and you find what you need.
