So I thought that over the winter I'll get a couple of very minor door dings removed from my 914. I've never removed a door panel myself but I'm questioning whether the bigger risk is having a very careful novice like me remove them or leave it to the guy doing the pdr work? Really don't want to find the door cards or clips messed up because of someone not being terribly careful. Who's more likely to ef it up....me or them?
Also looking for recommendations for great per guy in Atlanta. Thanks |

I concur with mepstein, the PDR guys are magicians.
If your going to try and pull the door card yourself : Now that I'm a professiona1 take apart guy. My only words of wisdom is get close to the clips before you unsnap them. Like mepstein said, some will break, SOP. What you don't to do is tear up the hole in the door card. The yellow arrow shows the part that screws into the door card. The fiberboard in the door cards sometimes get soft (breakdown) from moisture over the years.  Photo stolen from 914Rubber |
