Does anyone know of a thread that discusses the pros/cons/how-to's of using a 996 suspension on a 914? Many thanks...

It can be argued that the suspensions on newer cars are better for cars of that mass...a go cart with no suspension is faster on turns at speeds it is capable of , than almost any suspended auto of a greater weight...A 914 at 2100 lbs setup with a track suspension will see similar G force numbers ,as a modern suspended car set for the track that weighs 2900...there is certainly a diminished return on chasing a fraction of a G when at track speed you can drive around a small disadvantage you may suffer on a particular corner...throttle steering to an early apex , to diminish push..ect
