I just pulled up the "factory" wiring diagrams on Pelican, and my question is whether there's any color convention that Porsche uses as standard (at least for the 914)?
I believe that solid red is always hot, and brown is to ground. But what about the other colors and combinations?
Red/Black?
Gray/Black?
Green/Black?
Red/White?
Red/Gray?
Black/Blue?
Black/Yellow?
Brown/Yellow?
.....and several more.
Anyone know of a verified source for the information?

Nice pic. To add one to that from your list:: blue with black wire is 12v for illumination of gauges, not only in dash but also in the console in case you want to trace them.if you do not have the console that wire will still be present onder the carpet in the tunnel area.
