I don't know why I have mental block on this but I always forget if this is the right way for the spring perch. I know at one time I had them in wrong but not sure if they are right now.

FYI - #140 Weltmiester Springs

The hat shape is there to hold the spring concentric to the shock. If placed upside down, nothing would hold the spring concentric.

Not only that, on the correct side only, there's a groove around the ID which captures the height adjusting ring so it can't pop out.
