1976 2.0L.

Engine is not original, not sure what year it is. Paint code on door is Ivory White if I remember. Am I missing any info or can someone break down the codes more than that?

Thank you very much kind sir. 1973 2.0 engine it is then. I knew it was not a matching numbers engine on my 76.

Can the chassis plate be broke down to year and month of manufacture?

Almost. The VIN will give you the year and the chassis number will give you the day of the year.

However, note that the VIN year doesn't start on the 1st of January. Your '76 chassis was build in '75 and the chassis number will give you that day.

There's a decoder here somewhere, let me look ...
