Hey guys,
My teener needed to have the old '80s under dash stereo taken out, the PO had it set up with switches...those are now gone. Question 1: which wire out of the ignition switch goes to the radio (switched hot with the ignition.) Question 2: Passenger side lights are all out (headlight, running lights, tail light). Drivers side works fine. Checked fuses, all appear good. Where else do I need to look? Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Trying to get the last bits sorted before she sells. John |

I wouldn't think the radio power would come directly from the ignition switch. It will come off the fuse panel. My wiring diagram doesn't show where a radio would be hooked up per se.... But it makes sense it would when the key was in the run position in the ignition switch. AKA the run circuit. On my wiring diagram, that is fuse position #8 in the fuse panel. Brakes, wipers, lights, etc are all coming off this #8 fuse. So that is where I would begin looking for your radio power. Fuses can "look" fine but many times are not. When in doubt, just replace all with new fuses. They're not all that expensive. |
