The PO of my car cut the opening for a radio in the original dash super sized. I'd like to put a radio block of plate in its place. Do these go OVER the stock dash, or do you cut out the portion of the stock dash where the block off plate goes?

I made my own cover with some thin pine from a hobby shop. Covered it with the vinyl. The fit was perfect not like the one I bought from Atlanta years ago.
