I have noticed that most photos of original condition teeners show a Porsche crest on the hood, but mine doesn't have it? Were they options, limited editions, additions, what?

If you look at page 33 of Brian Long's book you will see a 914-4 prototype with a hood badge. Also there a couple photos on page 34 showing a badge on a 914-6.
Apparently the factory put the badge on some prototypes, but no production cars. If you like to look, go for it. It is your car, and you should enjoy it. |
