Mineral spirits are NLA in SoCal. What do you all use to clean off silicone? I've scraped all I can; I need to get the rest off.

Goo Gone supposedly works, but I tried it and it didn't seem to do much. Maybe I have the wrong kind.

I need to remove it from the rear window and from around the rear window frame on the car.

EDIT: I found a solution. I used Motsenbockers Lift-off. It apparently works by loosening the molecular bond. I scraped off as much as I could with a razor. I applied the lift-off. Let it sit for about 3-5 minutes. I was then able to scrub it off with a rag. Took about 3 applications.

The flour just made a mess! The other suggestions did not work for me.

FYI Mineral Spirits is now banned within the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
They are trying to reduce VOCs and are encouraging use of acetone or mixes of stuff with acetone as a substitute. SCAQMD is LA County, Orange County and parts of Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

If I want mineral spirits I now have to go to Ventura or San Diego

I hate them.
