Working on my transmission now and I lack the expertise to know if parts (syncros, slider, and dog teeth) are still serviceable.

Just wondering if everyone just replaces everything while they're in there. I know it's expensive, but is it worth the cost just to ensure I don't put bad parts back in?

I found AutohauzAZ to have some of the best prices. Does anyone have a better parts supplier recommendation?

You should search posts from DrEvill on this forum who is the resident expert on transmission rebuilds.

From what I've read from him, he only replaces what is needed and for example he will flip the synchro rings to keep the price down.

He sells a video explaining the process and also does transmission rebuild clinics once in a while.

Back to your question, replacing all the parts is probably not necessary, if it were most of us will advise you to get a second hand good transmission.

Finally Autohausaz has competitive pricing and good service. I don't think you'll find much better.
